Re: Milbury and Subban. Welcome to the PK fan club. Those of us who loved PK's exuberance in Montreal had to put up with idiocy like that of Milbury for years. Ignore it and enjoy the show. God forbid a hockey player have any "out of the box" personality traits.

I just want to see PK bring the cup to the Montreal Childrens Hospital and watch local media and certain fans' heads explode.

Actually I'm not finished ranting... Mike Milbury, obviously hates the Preds Bc they are a southern team, and to see PK out there you know a black man, out there warming up with white men on a southern team must really irritate his vagina. Well milbury you can suck my balls.

What the heck does Milbury have on NBC Sports ?
The guy is a terrible analyst was one of the worst coaches ever in the NHL and don't get me started on his character...picking a fight with a "bantam" kid !

Hey Paul, did you actually watch the game and see what penalties were called?
-Ryan Johansson going full-Marchand on Perron in the center of the ice for all the world to see with the slewfoot.
-Ryan Ellis doing his best to back that azz up into Berglund, right in the center of the ice. He's lucky Berglund got called too, cuz that was beyond obvious.
-Forsberg shot his teammate's stick to him from 15 feet away, again in the middle of the ice, and that's as cut-and-dry as it gets. It's like shooting the puck over the glass. There's no way for the refs to NOT call it a penalty.
-Fiddler's penalty was as clear as day intentional, and absolutely deserving of a 5 & game. He wasn't going for a hit, he was doing a flyby with is leg stuck out. The fans had nothing to do with it. Just because Parayko didn't need knee surgery didn't mean it wasn't a scumbag play.

As far as pouting & calling the Blues "saints" for not getting called, maybe, just maybe, they weren't guiltless as much as they were discreet. Everything the Perds were called for was completely obvious. There were no "questionable" penalties called. If they had been more discreet about things, sorta like Watson's high hit on Upshall behind the net, then they likely don't get called.

The refs were letting BOTH teams play, up to a point, but Nashville made things too obvious. Go ahead & give one clear-as-day example of a penalty that the Blues got away with.

Fids did not deserve a 5 min major, absolutely NO intention to injure!!! The refs did not SEE any players in blue deserving of a penalty ?????? Even some blues fans must see the Fids penalty as atrocious and the calls being lopsided.

The 5 and game is absolutely the right call IMO. That was a dirty hit that has no place in the game. I don't believe there was ever an initial 2:00 call. They put him in the box and the four officials all got together to discuss. Parayko skated off and walked down the tunnel. Despite not being seriously injured, anybody that's ever taken a knee to knee hit can tell you how that initially feels.

Blues could've and should've had some penalties, but they weren't obvious calls like the ones the preds had. Blues fans could've said the same from game 1, in specific the subban pick that immediately preceded parayko's tripping penalty that led to a preds goal. If there is one thing all fanbases can agree on, it's the inconsistency of nhl officiating.

Most people expected a six or seven game series, these first two games have done nothing but reinforce that.

I am glad player is OK but there was no intention to injure and the extra head slam to fiala , in game 1, was definitely uncalled for, a vulnerable injured player.

Kevin Fiala's injury was a terrible accident. There was no intent to injure. He is a phenomenal talent who I enjoy watching. St. Louis fans get no pleasure from Fiala being knocked out of the series. I wish he was back in the series and this never happened. I hope this doesn't hurt his career.

I see how Fiddler's hit could be misinterpreted. I don't think he was trying to injure Colton. It was worthy of a two minute minor. The Blues scored in the first two minutes and weren't dangerous in the second half of the penalty to start the period. It worked out fairly other than Fiddler was lost for the game. It's just like the Eric Staal injury in the first series. Guys are extending themselves to make plays. Nashville was the beneficiary of that kind of hustle with the game winning goal in game #1.

Nashville deserved every penalty they got last night. However, the Blues probably deserved more and the balance wasn't equitable. The Blues have been victimized the same way in the past. It's due to the inconsistency of NHL officiating. I am sure things will balance out when the Blues go to Nashville.

I imagine Paul McCann's emotional rant is because he had visions of Nashville going 16-0 in the playoffs after the way they handled Chicago. Nashville is a great team and this series is far from over. If the Blues lose, I would be proud to have Nashville represent the Central division and win the Cup.

I agree, Fiddler actually also connected with a shoulder hit as well. It was definitely deserving of 2 minutes and I don't believe it was worthy of 5. But regardless it was not the difference in the game.

It is frustrating as we all know as fans of our respective teams to not get an even amount in calls especially in a playoff game. Were there calls missed on both sides all game?, for sure....but I like to think that is a result of letting the teams play and decide it 5 on 5 as it should be. I was surprised there wasn't a power play for the Predators in the third though...kiND of expected one.

Game on everyone, in no way did I expect a sweep in this series, the teams are too evenly matched to see it otherwise. Time to get the JOFA line rolling, would love to see Forsberg get same space and get some decent shots. THE BLUES HAVE DONE A PRETTY GREAT JOB against our top line forwards.
